As the accusations run
rampant,
I stand guilty as
charged,
Laying awake in the
middle of the night,
Being assaulted by a
barrage,
Of words I wish I never
said,
But cannot simply draw
back in.
In the midst of the
shame and brokenness revealed,
I hear Your promise
whisper in the still...
"Forgiven and
free,"
That's what You said to
me,
Though I stumble and
fall,
You're still holding
me.
"Make amends and
move forward,
For this is not the
end,
Remember it is often in
your brokenness
Where My work begins
again.

rest my dear,
For you are, indeed,
